Coronavirus (Covid-19) update
Salem Historical Tours & Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour is taking the coronavirus pandemic very seriously and is committed to the welfare of the public and our tour guides. We are also committed to providing tours for guests who come to Salem.
As of right now, we have suspended tours due to a stay at home order by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker. The order last through Apr. 7 at noon. We are targeting Apr. 11 as a reopen date but will re-assess as we get closer to that date.
When we do a tour during these tough times, we practice social distancing and limit our tour sizes to 10 guests with one guide. We use amplifiers so that everyone will be able to hear the guide.
We do not go inside any location. The only time you are inside is when you come in our office to buy your tickets or pick them up from an advanced sale.
Our office and gift shop is small and can only handle 10 people at a time so we do not feel that it is concern for gatherings of large groups. We sanitize the commonly used surfaces of our office every few hours and maintain a healthy environment for guests and employees.
We ask that our guests take responsible action as well. If you believe that that you are sick or were in contact with someone who was sick, we ask you to not come on the tour and you will get a full refund. We are also asking our guides to stay home and not do the tour if they believe they are sick or have come in contact with anyone who was sick.
If you booked a tour with us in the near future and are uncomfortable coming to Salem during these trying times, we will gladly provide you with a voucher for a tour or reschedule your tour for a later date.
If you purchased your tickets through any one of our ticket agents (Trip Advisor, Expedia, Get Your Guide, Goldstar or Groupon), you must contact them for rescheduling or a refund.
