Afternoon and Evening Tours
Tours run in all weather. We do not cancel unless an official state of emergency is declared.
Our tours run daily in season from April through early December as well as weekends from January through March The Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour runs at 7 p.m. in January, February, March, November and December but at 8 p.m. for the other months. Additional times for the Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour have been added for the month of October. Check the calendar for specific dates.
The afternoon tours run at the same time each day we are officially open.
11:30 a.m. – Salem 101: General History Tour
1 p.m. – Grave Matters Cemetery Tour
2:30 p.m. – Midday Ghost Tour
4 p.m. – 1692 Witchcraft Walk
Tours are available by appointment on days we are not officially open by calling
Children 12 and under cannot take the tour alone and MUST be accompanied by an adult
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SALES ARE FINAL. TOURS RUN IN ALL WEATHER. TICKET HOLDER VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISKS OCCURRING BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER TOUR, INCLUDING INJURY BY ANY CAUSE, AND RELEASES MANAGEMENT AND RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM ANY RELATED CLAIM.
Please arrive in person no later than 15 minutes prior to scheduled tour start time to check in. For weekend tours in October, we encourage you to check in a full 30 minutes prior to tour departure. Of course you may check in in person at any point during the day.
Our office is open daily from 11 am until the last tour leaves. Please enter our 8 Central Street office to check in with desk staff.
We encourage you to take pictures and submit to us via email any pictures that are may contain something out of the ordinary. No recording of our tours is allowed.
No SMOKING Is allowed on our tours for the comfort of all of our guests.
All tours depart at times specified from our 8 Central Street office. We are unable to wait for late arrivals.
Given the crowded nature of Salem in the summer and fall, we strongly encourage you to arrive early in the day to allow for parking (Garages are on New Liberty, Bridge and Congress Streets with parking lots at Church Street, Front Street and Klop Alley), lines, etc. Bus parking can be found on New Derby Street down by the Immaculate Conception Church and on Hawthorne Boulevard in front of the Hawthorne Hotel and in Holyoke Square which is behind the big post office. Bus parking is marked by large green spaces.
